IS it just me or

is it just me or everyone who were accepted have like All 5s or 6s on AP and IB exams?

I'm freaking out now because AP exam is coming up and I really am not ready...

I'm gonna die if I get like 3s on the exams (taking 3...)
AHHHHH

i have 4s and one 3, no 5s. however, this year im getting 5s. in 10th grade, i got a 3. in 11th, i got all 4s. so in 12th, im planning for all 5s.

I mean like people getting into Princeton and stuff...
the all have like 5s..
amnesia, where did you get in?

I got 4's on US History, Government, and World History, and got in...

6 5's so far and (hopefully) counting... taking 7 this May. But then I get extraordinarily lucky on standardized tests, I had to go crazy w/ my schedule to get my hs to let me leave early, and from what I hear, AP's don't count too much at Princeton.

REALLY?
that's a great news...
but since i'm a Korean and an international student.
I'm afraid like (I had like a 3 on world history... ARRGG)
if I get like 3s 4s on the exams I'm gonna take this May,
it will decrease my chance..

amnesia, daveed, do you have your stats on CC?
I surely would like to see them and improve my own stats.

Thanks!

You don't HAVE to send your AP grades...ppl don't care about their AP grades anyway...

Friend averaged about 2 on 6 APs and got into Pton...

cool

but since i'm not white... lol Princeton is reputed as elite white schools right? although i heard they're starting to accept more non whites...

I don't know... I just get the stereotype that everyone who get accepted to Ivies who are international students more non white btw get like all 5s..

thanks anyway!

AP scores really don't matter in admissions. They're just a reflection of the quality of your AP class in preparing you for the exam. Your high school transcript and grades in those classes are far more important.

"Princeton is reputed as elite white schools right?"

All of HYP have similar demographic breakdowns -- Princeton is not different in this respect.

alright
now i'm worried about grades.. lol (i'm not a grade psycho, but just freaking out.. i hate junior year..)

Is it ok to get like a B+ in AP course that is really hard? (AP US is the hardest AP course in our school)

Or is it only ok if the counselor explains that?

Also, since I came here like 4 years ago, taking AP eng was a big mistake... I have a B+... sigh..........................

will this be okay if my counselor explains it...?

AHHHH

thanks so much btw...
I really appreciate it

B+ is perfectly fine... it's your choice if you want your counselor to go into details. Don't worry. Just keep up with what you've been doing, have fun with the application and good luck.

Depends on your school. If your school is hard, then a B+ or two is tolerable. Else, I'd have your conselor explain. You're not out of the running in any way, though.

it's among the top (22nd ) public school in the nation...
challenging....yes...
also I don't think it counst but
grading scale
94-100 A
90-93 B+
84-89 B

An admission counselor said that getting a few Bs is fine (they won't rescind your acceptance). However, he warned that seniors shouldn't succumb to senioritis because you end up starting freshman year being very lazy (this is what happened to him). Hopefully, I'll get out of this slump during the summer. lol.

where did you get into?
princeton?

Yes, I think they'll take the grading scale into consideration, and B+s should be okay.

Bookfreak89, I hope so as well! Maybe AP season will help us out, haha.

god.. you guys are so lucky...
I'm so jealous...
CONGRATS btw!

did you guys post your stats on CC?
I would like to see them...

also bookfreak89, i mean junior grades
or did you mean junior grades...
also define... a few...... AHHH
