Is it likely that annual tuition/fee might increase?

Hi,
Do you guys have any idea if the OOS tuition and fees might increase in the next 2-3 years? If so, any idea by how much?

I'm just wondering, I'm actually an international student (2nd year) at UCLA and our tuition is gonna increase by 32%, so I was considering UW Seattle as a possible school I might transfer to if my financial situation keeps getting worse.

UW's OOS tuition is considerably cheaper and UW's Computer Science would be very appealing to me provided they don't hike up tuition crazily like they're doing here in California...

Yes it is likely tuition ad fees will increase. At most schools they increase every year. No one here can guess by how much.

Yeah, I figure at least it’s not as ridiculous as in California though.

I wish I had chosen UW at the time instead of UCLA… I was actually admitted here too.

It’s a certainty that tuition will increase but I don’t know how much for out of state students. This year we caught a huge break when they decided to hike up the in-state fees a lot but left out of staters relatively unchanged.

It’s sad to see tuition always on the rise. I checked the archives for past tuition fees at UCLA from about 6 or 7 years ago, tuition was less than half of what it is now. I wonder how it’s gonna be in 10 years. Poor kids…

I talked to a UW student today who mentioned the university is cutting all financial aid (need-based, not scholarships) in half next quarter too

wow, that’s harsh. That’s completely the opposite of what’s happening here at UCLA. Here they’re increasing tuition only to families of middle to high income.
