would i benefit admissions wise from AP physics or calculus BC at a JC

There is no class that someone has to take for them to get in to a school. It’s all about the holistic process, meaning that what’s important is if you have a good SAT/ACT score, a solid GPA, impressive extracurricular activities and an interesting essay.

In this case, if you intend on being a physics major, then you should definitely be taking any of the three AP Physics classes. If not, taking the class is just like taking another AP; it can’t hurt, but by no means is it required.

I think you’re applying as a physics major, i think you should take at least SAT physics subject test just to show that you’re good at it. But if I were you, I would rather focus on bringing up your SAT score rather than taking AP Physics.
