Is it normal to feel this way about transferring? How do you feel about leaving your CC?

Have you guys registered for any classes yet?

@Zalrons‌

Yeah, almost certainly @anthroflo. You should’ve approached her and asked if she used college confidential in the past. :D

But it seemed like she decided on Berkeley, based on her last few posts. I wonder what changed her mind.

@music1990‌

I’ve been watching lots of Star Trek shows and random movies that Netflix recommends me. Netflix is really good at predicting what you like. I mean, really good.

And yes, it saddens me to see people leave. I personally won’t leave this board or college confidential for a long time, but I’m sure I’ll see lots of people make accounts here and leave sometime thereafter.

@CollegeDropout1‌

Lol why did you picture her with glasses? That’s kind of random :stuck_out_tongue:

@Cayton‌

I think a lot of us “regulars” on here will leave eventually once the semester/quarter starts.

@ocnative I’m not really sure! How my brain depicts some people and how they truly are, have been completely different. I’m really bad at it. DON"T say that, I feel like I have come to know everyone on here.

@cayton what series Star Wars are you watching? I’ve been systematically going through the first three TV seasons. Everytime I hum the theme song really loud when it comes on my dog goes psycho.

No regulars, please don’t leave! Next years applicants need you!

As for missing my CC, Cayton summed it up really well for me as well.

@lindyk8‌

I just started Star Trek: Voyager. I finished the first season in three days, lol.

I’ve finished Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Both excellent shows, but DS9 is somewhat better in my opinion because of the long story arcs. Which Star Trek shows are you watching?

@ocnative‌

That saddens me. :(

@Zalrons, haha I heard someone at orientation talking about berkeley, stanford, and anthro too. I’m confident it’s her :)

As someone who attends two of the worst CC’s in the LA district, with roaches, ants, leaking roofs, jaded teachers, overflowing toilets, 80+ degree rooms with broken chairs, 40% student drop-out rate per class, and an admin who stopped caring years ago, no, I will not be missing my CC.

Yes, I agree with @luckie1367 Regulars don’t leave! You guys are ruining anthroflo’s self esteem. If @AnthroFlo is reading this, Don’t listen to any of the other CC’ers I am sure you are beautiful!

@cayton I am watching a mishmash of seasons 1-3 with Kirk, Spock, etc. I know this dates me but I only watched that season, never any others. Maybe I should.

I was reading in my recent research that Gene Roddenberry was a real jerk.

For the record, I asked my daughter. She is glad to be done! I think SMC spoiled you guys…

@lindyk8‌

Ah, the original Star Trek. A good show, but in my humble opinion, the later Star Trek shows are better. I strongly recommend that you watch them!

@fullload‌

Look who’s back.

@calbro, I was so close to asking her if she was AnthroFlo just to confirm. I really should have. I didn’t know how she would feel about me “outing” her so to speak.

It just seemed so obvious because within about 5 minutes of meeting my small group I knew all of this info about her. Said she chose UCLA because of regents (after agonizing over whether to go to LA or Cal) and her goal was environmental anthro at Stanford. From NorCal etc etc.

At our anthro departmental meeting with the advisor she brought the subject up at least a couple of times. I have no idea what would’ve changed her mind! I suppose she wanted regents?

@randombookie, Right?!?! Some people may not believe this but I’m positive AnthroFlo managed to ultimately flip flop YET AGAIN. This could be viewed as epic trolling or a classic AnthroFlo move.

@Collegedropout, I feel badly about having to make a judgment on ones hotness in front of the masses. I must, however, reward the masses for their continued dedication. AnthroFlo has abandoned our cause and we have curious posters here! If she is lurking, which is highly possible, she knows who I am. Lets just hope she isn’t a serial killer…

;)

Why are you saying no one would believe Anthro flip flopped yet again? @randombookie. It was her daily routine for three months.
:)) :))
I’m glad she finally chose THE RIGHT SCHOOL.

My CC was certainly not crawling with vermin or major plumbing issues, but it was not all roses and cupcakes either. I had some really great instructors and some horribly crappy ones. I met some great people and students, and I met some slackers and idiots. All and all it was pretty much the same type of mixed bag I see everyday in the “real world”. I’m glad I went, and it certainly got me to this point.

I don’t miss it - I’m too busy looking forward :slight_smile:

@lindyk8, I honestly didn’t think she could change her mind again after committing to Cal! Not to mention the fact that she failed to inform us that she ultimately picked LA! It seemed like too much even for her. Haha. She did pick the right school though :smiley:

@lindyk8‌

Yeah, Gene Roddenberry was very inflexible with his writers. Many of them couldn’t stand him from what I read.

If she committed to Cal, but hadn’t rejected UCLA, and hadn’t missed the deadline, she could change her mind. Just ask @collegedropout :stuck_out_tongue:

lol holy ■■■■, @AnthroFlo’s profile indicates that she was last active on this site about 7 minutes ago.

She’s lurking, you guys. :open_mouth:
