Hi guys,

well obviouslly if you applied to 15 schools, there would be 1 supplement to go along with each school.

15*1 = 15. WOW

15 supplements for 15 schools - omg!!! that's crazy!

wow that's harsh.
I'm applying to 9 colleges(counting all the UCs as one)
and have to write 6 supplemental essays and 5~6 long essays for other school's that don't use common app, which sucks.(some even require multiple LONG essays...)

err.. I have... 3 supp essay and 2 long ones more to go:(

I applied to 12 and although they each required supplementary essays, many could be recycled or tweaked to fit.

thisSHHHisBANANAs,
could you please tell me which essays for which schools could be recycled or tweaked to fit?

i have to write over 20...thanks to barnard and nyu which alone require 8

Well, your problem is that you are applying to fifteen schools. There is absolutely no reason why you should be doing that.

It also depends on what you consider to be an essay. 150 words? 250? 500? 750? I would suggest, besides dropping schools, recycling essays and sections of essays.

The key is to recycle your essays. I wrote 2 main ones, and recycled them. Then I had some college specific essays (3-4), and some more statements (1-2).

All in all, I think I wrote around 10 essays this season. As of now, I am a seasoned writer. Fear not; I will be attending an essay signing in your area! =)
