Im not that active in school (the ppl at my school are absolulte pricks), but I am quite active outside of school; i started my own organization; and I have over 200 hours of volunteer work...is that ok? how bad will it look for colleges that im not active in school? should i tell colleges i switched schools and it was REALLy hard to adapt for 2 yrs??

Yes, it's OK.

That's fine, and you don't need to explain anything. A lot of kids are active only outside of school.

It was half the story of my life, in fact I'd say in some instances, being involved outside of the "familiar school environment" shows initiative on your part to get involved.

bump.........

it's just as impressive if you're active outside the school.and usually, non school affliated clubs are bigger and more wide-known compared to school clubs.

Not a problem, same criterion, is it meaningful?

yeah its fine. I'm the same way. I'm not super active at school but I have alot going on outside of school :)

Yes, you are fine. If the work you are doing is meaningful and not for show, don't worry.

I always thought that activity OUTSIDE of school was much more appealing than activities inside.
