<p>yes, your advisor should be a helpful source if you are considering transferring. I talked to my advisor about it, and he was not biased but gave me some good things to think about.</p>

<p>It’s more than okay to talk to advisors about your future (including transfers). It’s their JOB. I would not find it surprising though if they helped you make sure its the right decision though.</p>
