I am a freshman in highschool, and I am trying to apply now to get into Lawrenceville and some other good high schools next year. I already have a SAT prep book, but is this ok to use to study for the SSAT? For studying I have been using collegeboard.com and I have been memorizing latin roots. So will I do good if I keep using the SAT prep book or should I really go out and buy a book for the SSAT or ISEE? If I should buy a new book, what is a good one to buy? ~ Thankyou!

Oh yeah, by the way, I am very good at math, but I am a little weak in literacy comprehension. Any ideas to help me with this? Thanks! ( I will be taking the SAT along with the SSAT)

Personally I think SAT is good practice to improve your test skills in general. However, SAT and SSAT are so different in test question types and everything. I used SAT prep books when I prepared for my SSAT. And I got a 97% on the SSAT. However, I really don’t think SAT prep books were that helpful with SSAT. Try the book “Master the SSAT/ISEE.” Also, go get the SSAT Official Guide. That will be really helpful! Good luck!
