My school wanted everyone to send their transcripts early since the process would take a long time. However, one of the schools that they sent the transcript to, I don't really want to apply there anymore because I'm trying to make my selections smaller and save money. I sort of lost interest as well. Is it okay if I don't apply and they have my transcript? Or am I now obligated to apply to the school?

That would be fine. If you don’t pay for the application fee, your application is not complete and they will not consider. If yo don’t submit the form, they would not even do anything. Many people submit test scores to schools way before they decide whether to apply to them.

What are they going to do if you don’t apply? Decline you?

You don’t have to apply, no one can force you to apply.

Actually, the outcome depends on how desperate the school is for applicants . . . if they’re impressed with your transcript, you might get an acceptance in the spring even if you don’t submit anything else! It’s been known to happen . . .
