Is it okay to address the reader?

Is it just a horrible idea to directly address the reader at the end of my application? I really think it will add to the personality of my application, but maybe it will be so incredibly offensive and disrespectful and condescending that the reader might turn his/her nose up and toss my application. What do you guys think?

I hope I get the answer before sending this application tomorrow… Part of me really wants to be myself, even if it costs me my admission. But I really do want to be admitted…

Also, I’ll PM the closing paragraph in question for individual consideration. It’s not very long at all.

I don’t think it will be a problem. Depends on how you put it.
Everything goes, I think, as long as you aren’t insulting your reader or writing something completely unrevealing about yourself.

You could always send me the excerpt if you want, but I am a 2014er…
