Is it okay to exactly meet the unit cap for transfer?

It is my understanding that the unit cap for uc intercampus transfers is generally placed at 80 semester units, or 120 quarter units. If I get exactly 120 units, am I fine? Or is it specifically BELOW 120 units? Also, if I took a class for redundant credit, is this still added in as uc transferable credits? I took a chemistry course that I had passed out of with AP credits already and got a grade for it, but it didn't affect my GPA because it was redundant credit. Is this added to my total transferable credit count?

Thanks!

I’ve read on this website that AP credits only help toward your transferable credits while transferring, so if you have 120 units plus 10 AP credits when doing a transfer you have 120 units, they don’t go over the cap just to help you reach it. Just check with the UC you plan on transferring too I don’t want to ruin your chances with something else I’ve read on this website.

Just re read what you said, yes if you took it for credit and still had AP credit for it as well pretty sure they will consider it as credit counting towards your cap, since it was taken at the UC.
