is it okay to schedule 2 classes in a row?

say for example:
biology starts at 8:30 and ends at 10:00
psychology starts at 10:00 and ends at 11:30

is that timing okay, will students be allowed to enter class 10-15mins late? (im pretty sure back to back classes are not allowed but i want to make sure)

yea its allowed... it would be such a ***** if it werent. but here at Cal theres something called Berkeley Time.. where every class begins 10 minutes after its scheduled.. so a 9:00 class begins at 9:10, and a 12:30 class at 12:40.

you'll make it in time, dont worry.

Make sure the locations aren't too far from each other.

but even if they are, you can still make it in the 10 mins if you walk fast going from one end of campus to the other).

I do it everyday and I hate it.

VLSB to Pimentel Hall is a no no. Unless you want sleek calves. Downhill is doable.

that's not too bad, barrows to etcheverry sucks

you got that parallel motion going....i see and bow down to your greatness

Cal is one very few 30,000+ universities where you can get to one end of campus from the other within 10 minutes. That's kind of cool...

You would actually want them back to back. Having a gap here and there is such a waste of time

HypnosX--- "You would actually want them back to back. Having a gap here and there is such a waste of time "

i agree

is it common for students to have a 1 hr gap between courses?

which of the following class times would you choose and why?

M-T-W-TH-Fri your classes begins at 8

OR

M-W-F classes begins at 8 AND T-Th classes begin at 11:00

is that a serious question? do you really want 8 oclock class every single day?! dude, you're in college

i had 8 am everyday this semester (spanish) because i like getting things done in the early half of the day. i get lazy in the afternoon. if you're going to be a freshman next year, i'd say go with the mwf at 8 and t/th at 11 so you can catch up on sleep at least two days a week. itll be nice, especially when you've had a hard long day, it will be difficult to get out of bed that early. a lot of people who have 8 am everyday tend to skip that class a lot, and you don't want to do that, so at least this way you'll have a break on t/h.
