<p>I would be very surprised if you get a meaningful answer to this question. Not because the people on this board do not want to help you, but because they cannot. Transfers at MIT happen every year, but they are rare. Sometimes there are 10’s of transfers accepted in a year, often there are less. There is a much smaller world of data points from which we can draw conclusions, and broadly, nobody on this board except MITChris knows enough to answer this authoritatively.</p>
<p>As far as undergraduate applications go, MIT will look at all supplemental materials, but they are looking for the supplemental materials to show them something that they cannot get from the rest of the app. I would guess that that might apply to transfer applications, but it is only a guess.</p>
