Is it okay to send in a resume along with the Common App?

<p>I hate the way the Common App wants you to input all of your extracurriculars, and I feel like it would be so much easier to just submit a separate resume listing all of my ECs. Do colleges find that annoying? I just hate that you can't type your own title for the Common App; you have to choose from the preexisting list of extracurriculars and pretty much none of mine are in there specifically. For example, I can't put in "Model UN", I have to pick "Academic" and then type "Model UN" into the details box.</p>

<p>Also, how am I supposed to show how long I have participated in things? I’ve been a Girl Scout for 12 years, but all I can check off is that i’ve done it since 9th grade.</p>
