Hey everyone. I’m currently a junior and it’s about that time to start planning for next year. I plan at taking an internship at an applied physics lab for John’s Hopkins University during the actual school year. My question is, will colleges like that? I do plan an actually doing STEM in college. I’ve read that they still want to see you take rigorous classes. I take four APs this year, 3 of them being STEM. Next year my schedule looks like AP Calc BC, AP Statistics, AP Literature, AP Comparative Government. In addition to that I have early release for the internship. Are there any problems with this?
Yes, it is perfectly OK for you to do that.
Will the research/ internship count as a science? (If so don’t forget to list it as such on your SRAR).
Have you reached level 4 in a foreign language?
I would try to take an AP science over AP stats.
I have six science credits of the three required. And yes I’ve reached level 4 of Chinese
My school is limited on the AP Sciences
Yes, it’s good, especially if your school doesn’t offer an AP Science you can take (make sure your GC specifies this in the school profile/recommendation.)
Yep, it looks great!
