Is it okay to take AP Stats instead of Precalc?

I’m currently making course selections for my senior year. Would it harm my college applications at all if I choose take take AP Stats instead of Precalc?

I definitely think that I would be able to receive a higher grade in Stats as opposed to Precalc. My college counselor said that colleges won’t care about my math selection since I’ll be applying as an English major. Is this true?

For more selective colleges, yes. It depends on your target colleges.

Stats is a known easy Ap. Fun but easy. Take the precalc. Lots of colleges want kids starting at Calc regardless of the major.
