is it okay to take Bio E if we learned no ecology in class but I'm using Kaplan's?

i want to take it because it has a better curve. if you guys recommend it, I also have CliffsAP that I could study ecology from

You can, and that's what I did last year, without learning it in class...but I bombed, on great part because of the ecology. It depends on the person I guess...but I mean if your waiting until 4:30 the afternoon before the test, you have a lot to internalize...just a word of warning :/

The curve isn't so different that you should take it solely for that reason. If you don't know much ecology, and you're better at molecular, then take Bio M.

What I did was not worry about picking one. The morning of the test, I skimmed through both E & M and then picked the one that I felt more confident on doing (ended up being M). I believe that is allowed (just be careful not to waste too much time trying to decide)

i took a class on molecular bio but took eco...someone that stuff just sticks in my head better.

I used Kaplans too.

I dunno, I thought I was going to choose bio-M for sure, until now, at 2:42 am, after taking both practice tests. felt much more confident with E. and with barron's practice tests, I got 690 on M and 740 on E

!!
I suppose just skim the morning before, my class also mainly focused on M. Another interesting thing you might want to consider . . E scores tend to be higher than M, on average.
