Is it okay to take SAT IIs just to see how you would do?

I am already registered to take 3 tests on Saturday. There is 1 subject test I really don't think I am prepared for. If I take it I won't be surprise if I score in the 500s. Since I've already registered should I just take it anyway just to see how I would do or should I cancel. It's in History and I'm not really a history person anyway.

Just do it and if you don’t do well, submit the others.

I think I will just take it anyway, thanks, any other answers?

take a subject you’re more comfortable with

If you’re really concerned, take it and cancel the scores if you think you bombed them.

@UrAverageAzn The problem is that I am taking 2 other subject tests so if I cancel them I will have to cancel all 3 since it’s by test date.

Oh gotcha. Well then I would say take the two practice tests you are comfortable with and focus on those for this examination, if you have the ability to take another test in the future (which I assume you can). Honestly, in my opinion, taking a test that you know you are not going to do well in is just a waste and a demoralizer. The only good that could come out of it is motivation for getting a better score in the future, but otherwise it doesn’t really serve any purpose. If you really want to see how you do in the history subject you are interested in, I would go to the local library and take an official administered subject test from the blue book (not the sat reasoning one). LEssssssss GOOOoo !! good luck mate

I believe that is what practice tests are for. The real test is to get your desired score.

Thanks okay I took a diagnostic test from collegeboard in US History. I only took half of the test and I got like 40% right (again I’m taking this with 0 studying), so I’ve decided I am going to cancel tomorrow. Thank you everyone for your answers especially UrAverageAzn and EricSnow.
