IS it possible, Calling all 32+ test takers!?!?

Hey Guys,

Do you guys think if I received a 1940 SAT back in Oct, do you think I could geta 32 or 33+ in December. If you take into regard that I'm using the Princeton Review and the REal Guide. What is the best way to prep for a high score, btw I've never taken the ACT, for all 32+ scorerers, how did you do it, i mean did it all click once you got your timing down and the you were in rythme. Thanks guys for all your input! :)

I think it's possible. I was 1 point away from a 32 but i didnt have the timing for the science down. I got a 2010 on the Oct SAT, and found the ACT to be a breeze in comparison. As for how to prep, my sat prepping prepped me for the ACT

The difference between the SAT and the ACT, to me, is that the SAT questions seem to be more difficult but you have more time on each one, whereas the ACT questions are easy but you have to do each one really fast. I think if you want to really study, work on your concentration. You really don't have time to waste so you need to work really quick.

Absolutely it's possible.

Just keep practicing timing.

Easy.

I got 1840 on Sats.

And a 32 on the ACT which also included me fluking one section. I'm retaking Dec. Hopefully i will get a 34-35. If i didn't fluke reading, i could have gotten a good score :[

So I'm guessing that once I get the timing down the rest should lead itself to the 32+ region b/c when I took the SAT in Oct I prepped like two weeks before the test and didn't do as well as I hoped. I was in the 750 range for math but only got a 680. I hope the same doesn't go for the ACT and how hard is the Science to prep for and how do i even prep for it. Thanks guys for all your inputs, let it keep coming. :)

u dont prep for it. The beauty of the ACT is u dont need to prep.......at all basically. Well, not as much as the SAT. the English is basic grammar mistakes. The math is unbelievably basic. The reading and science doesn't require prep. Just take practice tests and see that you can get the timing down, and that you know the math concepts.
Ya i was in the 750 range for writing and got a 640 in october. ***. I know how u feel lol

timing is definitely the biggest issue when it comes to the ACT. I got an 1840 on the march sat but a 32 on the oct ACT. it's certainly possible.

if it weren't for science, i could have gotten a 33 or 34 :(

yea.
just blitz through all the sections
dont waste time
looking at the clock or whatever
just go go go! lol

Here's the step-by-step....

1.) Wake up.
2.) Eat breakfast.
3.) Shower.
4.) Put on clothes.
5.) Go to the testing site.
6.) Ignore the proctor's disapproving looks as you walk in late.
7.) Take the tests and sleep when you have extra time.
8.) Get your score.

2 is definitely the most important step.

I disagree. 4 seems a bit more important...

no 1 is obviously most important

1740 SAT

31 ACT converts to near 2100

It's more than possible

8's the most important guys. lol

if you dont do 1, you cant do the rest lol

if u dont do 4, ull be a huge distraction

true true
that would be pretty hilarious
ACT would add a new rule on its admission ticket
"please dress appropriately"

But you can't do 4 unless you do 1!

haha. You guys are insane.

Anyway, to the OP, it's more than possible. My ex boyfriend got something like a 1750 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT without any extra preparation. With preparation, and assuming you don't have problems with time constraints, you should be fine.

You can sleep walk into the ACT testing site naked, so theoretically you can in fact do #4 without #1.

Any other tips on getting a 36 wanted?
