Is it possible for me to get fin. aid?

<p>Hello, I am a US citzen, but I've been livin' in a foreign country for more than 15 years, and I lived in the States for only about 1.5 years. My parents are not US citizens and had no jobs when they were in the states (I was born when they were students at Fletcher school.) Therefore, they have never paid any taxes in the US. I wonder if I can get any fin. aid w/o any credit. </p>

<p>I have a question. Is the amount of fin. aid deterimined solely based on one's parents' annual income and assets?</p>

<p>Financial aid (the EFC, anyway) is determined based on: Parent's income & assets, and student's income and assets.</p>

<p>I don't see any reason why you couldn't apply. You might have to furnish some supporting documentation or explanations to your school's FAO.</p>
