Is it Possible for me to get into Michigan or American!?!?!

My top school choices are American University and University of Michigan,

I have a GPA of 3.65 I have taken all AP and Honors classes available at my school, I am a varsity tennis player and swimmer all 4 years I even am an All conference tennis player, I am captain of my forensics speech team, member of National Honors Society. And a member of FCCLA and part of student council for two years(until schedule conflicts got in the way). A active member of our schools river watch. I have been a people to people student ambassador twice . Plus I havr a lot of community service I have done. I got a 30 on the Act and not yet received my scores back for the Sat and have also taken the US history Sat subject test. Do I have a high possiblity of getting into either of these schools?

Other Schools
Western Michigan
University of Colorado
University of Iowa
Georgia Tech
Ps: I am a person very passionate about politics and diplomacy, what I want to major in.

If 3.65 is your unweighted GPA (not weighted), you could get into American, but Michigan would probably be a reach unless you have an amazing SAT score

It is unweighted my weighted gpa is a 4.1

You are in great shape for American and Western Michigan. You are competitive at the others (depending what major you seek at Georgia Tech.) M and Ga.Tech can be very tough admits. Best of luck!

Not likely for UMich. Are you in state?

I think you have a decent shot at Umich, but it might border on reach. You should have no problem being admitted to WMU. Those are the only schools I can help you with.

FYI. The admission average GPA for UMich is 3.85 and mid 50 ACT is 29-33. It would be a rather high match if you are in state.
