Okay, so I currently have a 4.625 weighted GPA. I know of two others that have the same, however, their ranks vary mine about 20 places (6-59/338). Does anyone know if this is possible?

I’ll take a wild stab in the dark and suggest that your rank depends on your unweighted GPA.

Maybe. But a even more of our class has 4.0’s right now, I’m not entirely sure.

I checked, it’s weighted as per my transcript.

does the person with the higher rank have more units?

Some schools break those sorts of ties by comparing the actual grades of classes themselves, as a thought. As in who has literally better grades, as opposed basing it on hitting the threshold of A/B/C/D/F

@anotherparent: Nope, 37/32 all around.

Madshock, that’s probably true. I had a 92 compared to another’s 96 in Algebra I. But I did take it in middle school, and they aren’t weighted towards the GPAs. There are also some other grades that are pretty high that may be the deciding factor. Makes sense now.

Aw well. If this is the case, I just have to hope that I’ve done better so far with courses and stuff. Thanks.
