<p>i'm so anxious to hear from them... I've heard some colleges do send out decisions on Saturadays. Can UChicago be one of those cases?</p>

<p>While I would be happy if that time was tomorrow, there’s nothing any of us can do about it but wait.</p>
<p>Doubtful…everything I’ve heard has been pointing to monday. But you never know.</p>
<p>I have heard several rumors that they would come out today (Saturday), but they seem unsubstantiated. Just try waiting till Monday.</p>
<p>My guess is that they they are now in the administrative part of the process – double-checking everything and getting letters, etc. packaged and ready to roll.</p>
<p>Last year the rumors from admissions was that it was going to be the 18th-19th, so we were really surprised to get the email out of the blue on the 13th.</p>

<p>If this is any consolation, according to the College Board website, the 15th (Monday) is the deadline that UChicago has to inform applicants about Early Action.</p>
<p>Just hold in for two more days!</p>
<p>While I’m certain decisions will be out by the 15th, I don’t think they are obligated to release them by the 15th, but rather around the 15th.</p>
<p>Just so that no one overexerts himself in anticipation, I didn’t receive any mail from Chicago today (in NJ). </p>
<p>So don’t count down the hours or anything. </p>

<p>Does anyone know if the admissions office is even open on Saturday? I was looking at the UChicago website, and I’m pretty sure it’s closed…</p>
<p>well it says “The Office of College Admissions is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.” Unless decisions go through another office, looks like we’re not getting them today.</p>
<p>Several weeks ago (Thanksgiving break) I e-mailed the admissions office b/c I had a question. They replied back on SUNDAY afternoon. I doubt that they’re closed today — the admission officers will be working but the office won’t be open for the public. </p>
<p>When I was at Summer@Brown, the admission officer told me that she works 7 days a week, 20 hours per day during the height of admissions season.</p>
<p>We have a small chance of getting our decisions today, but I highly doubt it.</p>

<p>this is affecting my work efficiency. I know patience is valuable, and I am usually very patient, but my mind always wonders off to thinking about the decision.</p>
