Is it possible to appeal?

I was not admitted early, but I was wondering it is possible to appeal. Anyone who knows about this I would greatly appreciate information.

I was wondering the same thing.

That’s terrible english… I would not help myself appeal either. But if anyone knows about the appeal process, if they would contact me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’ve never head of Pomona or any other top private school having admissions appeals.

Never heard of an appeal process. I think the time spent on an appeal would be better spent perfecting your apps that are due the beginning of January. There are plenty of great schools out there and I am sure you will find the right one for you. Best of luck.

Perhaps the best way to ascertain the answer is simply to call Admissions and inquire. I know many schools do have appeals processes. Somewhere on Pomona’s website, I saw a statement about reactivating one’s application in future decision rounds, but I’m not sure whether that was referring to subsequent years?? If you’re really in love with the College, I recommend picking up the phone and speaking to an admissions officer. Ask what could be strengthened in your application and what opportunities exist for appealing the decision or reapplying. Best of luck to you!

If you were simply deferred and not rejected, you have nothing to worry about. Just send them updates on your activities, honors, etc. Also maybe send them a short statement about your love for Pomona. Make sure that you provide specific and tangible examples of why you love it. Though it is difficult, try to trust that Fate will guide you to the right school.
