Is it possible to apply both Princeton University and University of Chicago.

I was wondering if I could apply to both Princeton University and University of Chicago this year.

As long as you are not applying both schools early action, yes, you can.

Princeton is single choice early action, so if you apply there early you can’t apply anywhere else

@Sam04010 After Princeton decides (Dec. 15th, 2016), you can apply to a private such as University of Chicago before the end of the year using Regular Decision, but as @nydad513 said you cannot apply Early Decscion to both.

@Anonymoose3 Princeton allows applicants to apply to any non-binding public during SCEA too, so there are many schools you can apply to while SCEA’ing to Princeton.

@psywar - Sorry, should have specified.

Think this new poster is funning us.

so although university of chicago is a nonbonding school, because it is a private school I can’t apply to chicago early action if I’m applying to princeton early?

If it is early, you cannot apply two schools at the same time.

To your question in #6. That’s correct: applying EA at Chicago (non binding but private) and SCEA at PTon would violate Princeton’s rules.

You really need to familiarize yourself with the direct source info – it’s in plain language. Good luck choosing P or C.
