I’m going to be starting the 12th grade soon, and I’m finishing a semester early, and doing dual enrollment, which means I’ll be finishing college at least a semester early…I plan on going to grad school, but do they accept applicants in the winter?
You’ve been posting a lot of questions about graduate school lately. I’m going to re-emphasize that you are asking these questions way too early, because your priorities might change: you may become interested in different fields; you may decide that you don’t want to stay in the Atlanta area for grad school (or that leaving it is better for the beginning of your career); or you may decide to delay graduate school or not go at all. I think you should stop worrying about this now and revisit these issues in your junior year of college - they may have evaporated.
That said, it depends entirely on the program. That’s the other problem with asking these questions far too early - you don’t know which program you want, and the answers to your questions vary wildly based on program. For example, some programs at GSU may allow applicants to begin in the spring semester (starting in January) and others may not. PhDs rarely let students begin in the spring semester.
The other thing is that just because you finish high school a semester early doesn’t mean you will finish college early. You may stay back to take additional classes; you may need to retake some classes; you may decide to study abroad or double major.
