Is it possible to be an engineer and have a life?

Just wonderin. More specifically, I'm a prospective CS student.

I have two sons in engineering, one graduating in CS in May. I can only speak for my boys but I can assure you they are having a lot of fun. My CS son is very bright and may need to spend less time than the average person studying but I know he works hard and he plays hard. He is very involved in related organizations, has traveled to China and has never missed a tailgate or party.

As long as you have your priorities in order and understand your limits you can have a great time.

I had a very similar experience in my undergrad.
