Is it possible to bring my GPA up by .5 in one semester?

I just finished my first semester in college and I have a 2.53 GPA. I made an A, A-, B-, C+, and a D. My HOPE GPA is a 2.57. I need to bring my hope GPA up to a 3.0 by the end of my spring semester in order to keep the scholarship. I'm just really bummed because I thought I was doing well this semester but I guess not. This semester I took 14 credit hours and next semester I will be taking 16 credit hours. I am currently an undecided major but I am considering going into criminal justice. I am determined to make at least all A's and B's, C's are not an option. Is getting a 3.0 possible or is there just no hope for me? I really need this scholarship.

Well, if you keep your As, bring your B- up to a B+ and replace your D with a B, you even can have a little wiggle room for a C+. That all depends on the number of credits each course carries, of course. That would make a great SAT math question wouldn’t it?
