I was accepted to McCormick School of Engineering for Bioengineering. But I want to do biology at Wienburg. Is it possible to transfer before I start freshman year?

It says in the admit packet:

“If you wish to change your admission from one Northwestern school to another, please write to the Dean of Undergraduate Admission before July 1. Each request is considered individually, depending on the space available in each school.”

It’s absolutely possible. My roommate applied Medill but switched to SOC. It shouldn’t be a terrible problem.

I e-mailed them two days ago about changing from Engineering to WCAS, today I got a letter from them approving the change. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.

yeah im pretty sure since WCAS is like teh generic schoo it should be easier to swirch in, then like if you were trying to do the reverse and go to mccormick

I emailed them on the 30th requesting a change from the SoC to WCAS.

Mike41691, did your letter come in the email or was it snail mail?

i have a similar question:
I was accepted to WCAS, but fear that i wont get the same music resources that Music School students have available (ensembles, teachers). So, if i double major in Music and Biology, will i be part of the Music school? will i have to audition?

i would assume to be in the music school you would need to audition

The letter came in the mail. I live very close, so yours might take a little longer.

Yeah, I got my letter today. Now, I just need to decide if I’m going…
