I’ve heard many things from being able to change your major if you’re intended major is not impacted or not being able to change it at all. Is it possible to switch from an anthropology to mathematics in computation if admitted?
It’s possible, but it doesn’t sound like you should count on it.
For transfer students:
Yeah I don’t think you should rely on it, despite the possibility as svlab has pointed out. There’s no way to give you a for sure answer until you get admitted and it either happens or it doesnt. But think about it, so many transfer students would abuse this if it was reliable. Students who are “reaching” could just apply to a major with super low gpa range and like 2 easy prereqs and make themselves an exponentially better candidate, only to switch to the major they wanted to when they get in. Colleges are smarter than that, they know all the ways people can use the system. You could make your chances better by having the prereqs done for the intended major tho, or at least as much as possible.
It’s harder for transfers to change majors than a freshman just because so many transfer majors are impacted
