LOL @ Oscar. 16/17 is pretty rough.

@calgirl: why don’t you try to shift to MORE? There may be people willing to exchange and it doesn’t have a meal plan … the meal plans are screwing everything up … how can they expect everyone to afford such horrendous fees?
@bubu: Was citadelle ur first choice? n which faculty will u be in?

@Mayisha

It was like my 6th choice. I put pres rez/university hall/greenbriar etc above it but no luck. Will be in faculty of arts. It seems like all the hotel rez’s - new rez/c4/la cit are easy to get into since no one really picks them.

Hotel rezs are quite lavish … u’ll be very comfortable there … btw guys, won’t it be better if we got to know each other officially now that we’re going to the same school? How many are on facebook?

I got placed into New Rez, too - 10th choice. It seems like it’d be easy to trade if you knew someone who wanted your assignment just as you wanted theirs, but they probably won’t accommodate those kinds of requests, huh? Good luck everyone!

Dang, I got into C4 double room. C4 was somewhere down in my last few choices (18 maybe?) Its way too expensive for my liking, the housing isn’t terrible, its just the mandatory meal plan that accompanies it
@ calgirl, have you found someplace you can rent for your first year?

I know this question isn’t directly pertaining to this forum, but I thought I’d ask anyway. Does McGill rescind if ones overall average drops drastically or if it’s a significant course? My overall average has only dropped 2 percent, however, one of my courses dropped around 4-5 while the others have increased. Help?!

99.9 percent sure that you’ll be fine msid. Go enjoy the weather.

Haha thanks, and yeah te weather here in BC is gorgeous!

Do you have a source for that 99.9% figure?

Of course.

Some perspective on the rez thing - I’m in New Rez, it was my tenth choice, and I’m hoping to change to a single that would be less expensive and less like a hotel. I called the housing office and they said you definitely have to wait until like two weeks into September to change, but that 100% of the people that request changes, get them. What I do not know is whether people get changed into the ones they want or if you have to take what they give you.

That is awesome. Maybe I’ll ask to change residences.

PLEASE LOOK, CALGIRL15!
I saw a thread you posted about a year ago about gap years and your situation then. I’m writing an article about students and how they use their year -whether to explore different things or reapply to colleges. Please email me at skh.character@ gmail . com as soon as possible -i’m on a tight deadline. Thanks.
