<p>The career goal is to have my PT business & be a DPT. I know there are some schools out there that offer 6 yr PT programs. Would it be possible to double major in something like marketing or business admin while simultaneously working towards DPT & graduating in 6 years? Obviously it would be an intense schedule, but would schools allow it? PT is usually a 4+3 program, 4 yrs of undergrad, 2 yrs of grad. But 6 yr programs are at one college and allow you to work on your doctorate & everything all at the same school & save tuition $. I'd be going in with a lot of AP credit, too.</p>
<p>PT and DPT programs are competitive so you need to focus on crafting your transcript to get into these selective programs.
Once at school then you can add biz classes.
Don’t muddy the waters by focusing on a double major since becoming a PT or DPT is the more important goal.</p>
