Ok so I'm a rising senior and some kids are already starting their college apps, which is sort of early I guess cuz I was told to apply anytime around November or December. I am def. not satisfied with my SAT score, and I want to finish at least one marking period of my senior year before I even think about applications since I want to show colleges something good. But out of curiosity, can I apply to a college right now? I just want know to if I'll get accepted or not, I'm just really curious. Also, is it possible to re-apply to a college? So let's say I apply to one college right now, and I get rejected. Is it possible for me to re-apply there in December with a new, higher SAT score? Or is there no such thing as re-applying?

Unless the school does rolling admissions, you won’t know if you get rejected until March/April. You cannot reapply after being rejected.

Most colleges have their application deadline In Jan sometime, so I guess you could wait until your midterm grades show up on your transcript before applying, but it isnt encouraged. Generally it wouldnt make much of a difference and applying later will only hurt chances even more. If you ask me you should just retake the SAT, apply as early as possible and wish for the best.

You can’t re-apply for admission, sorry.

^ I agree. Focus on what you can improve.

Most colleges either require you to wait one year after a rejection before submitting another application, or don’t let you submit another freshman application at all. So no, you can’t do that.

yeah, retake the SATs and you are going to have to send your final transcripts anyway… if u leave you applications untill you get your midterms, u might be left with only a little while to do a lot.
