just wondering, i'm thinking about doubling in psych and (business or engineering) and doing premed. considering that i might be able to take off a few courses due to ap testing and will be working during the school year (for all 4 yrs), is this reasonable? and for ap testing, how many courses can i take off?

you can't take off any required AXEL classes but you will get credit towards your electives for ap credits (which is useless if you are doing double major). double major is quite do-able here at vandy so it's very reasonable to do a premed and 2 major; though it will depends on how deligent/motivated you are. but i would recommend doing two similar majors so you can get kill two birds with one stone with overlapping classes.

wait, so if i double major, any ap credits are essentially worthless?

since you can't fill any requirement with ap credits, and since you won't be worrying about 120hrs of credit to graduate, the only thing it will do is place you in advance courses and maybe give you sophomore standing.

"which is useless if you are doing double major"

why is useless of dlb major?

ap credits are used for two things: placements and fulfilling 120hrs of credits to graduate (usually single majors take electives or use ap credits to fill additional hours). a double major will likely achieve 120hrs from required classes.
