Is it possible to double major and minor in something?

I will be a freshman in college next year, and I would like to double major in international relations and philosophy. I would like to minor in art history. I was wondering if it is possible. Any advice would greatly be appreciated!!
P.S. here are the schools I applied to:
1) Hampshire College
2) Tulane
3) Skidmore
4) Marquette
5) Loyola Marymount College
6) SUNY Albany
7) UVM
8) Mills College
9) Ursinius College
10) Clark University

Possible? Yes. But I don't see any point in it.

^Ditto. I started writing a whole big deal about why this isn't the most practical idea. But essentially: sure it's possible, it's been done. Might as well go for it, but you might realize it's just not for you once you get to school. You can always drop one of the majors or the minor if you need to.

I was convinced I'd be an anthropology major, pre-med, and minor in Urban studies. Now I'm a behavioral neuroscience major... things can change big time once you're actually in school.

I imagine it's possible, but you should ask yourself what are you trying to accomplish? Don't forget the phrase 'jack of all trades, master of none.'

if one majors in something one still has to take all of the required courses whether or not they are majoring in something else as well. the colleges don't look at a person and say, "oh i see you double majoring therefore you don't need to take all of the required courses in the major."
