Is it possible to double major in Applied Math (CS) and EECS?

So I'm an EECS major currently; already a junior. I've been dabbling with the idea of taking math courses as opposed to EE courses because I'm finding the latter not enjoyable at all.

The Major: Requirements - UC Berkeley Department of Mathematics

Is it possible to major in both Applied Math(CS) and EECS? If so, when is the latest I have to declare the major? I've taken Math 53 and 54 but never bothered with 1A/1B. Will I have to take 1A/1B if I decide to pursue the double major?

there will probably be no way to avoid more than two UDs from overlapping

Yes, it is possible to double in Applied Math(CS) and EECS. It has been done before. You don't need to take Math 1A/1B, but what's hard about this double major is that it's a "simultaneous degrees" double - across CoE and L&S. So, you'll need several 5-class semesters to fulfill all the requirements of both colleges.

You could also get a major in Engineering Mathematics and Statistics, which is much more flexible than the math major in L&S and doesn't require you to fulfill the breadth requirements and such as you would in L&S.
