I am taking SATs this Saturday so I only have a week left to study for the ACT. If I just do all the tests on the Red ACT book and review my mistakes will I be able to increase my scores from a 26-28 to a 30-32
It’s possible. From my first test to my last test in the red book, I saw a 3-4 point increase (composite). Work hard and study your mistakes!
@jjlundy Thank you! That gives me a good amount of confidence!
I would always get 28-30 on the practice test. I ended up getting a high 32 (almost a 33) on the real thing.
One of my kids scored a 27 on the first ACT and a 32 on the second one, after one week of prep with the Red Book as you describe. This kid did make sure to understand why each answer was correct, and didn’t just score the practice test and move on to the next one.
I did one practice test and my score on the actual exam went from a 30.5 to a 34.0 (got a 31.75 on practice and didn’t go over wrong answers). You can easily improve 4 with practice.
