Is it possible to get an "exact AP report"???

SORRY IF THIS IS THE WRONG FORUM, BUT… Is it possible to get an “exact AP report”, i.e. to receive the PERCENTAGE I have received for my tests? Because in one of my exams, I received a 4, and am pretty sure I was just 1 or 2 points off.

No.

I view this as one (of many) problems with the APs. Students with 3s, 4s or 5s assume, because they are often strong students with A averages, that they nailed the test. They figure they probably got the equivalent of an A (say 90% or more correct). They often use the test to opt out of the entry level class in the topic once they get to college. Then they are dismayed when they start getting crappy grades on the college tests and blame the college instructor.

In actuality students can fail AP exams, using college criteria to determine pass levels, with 3s,4s and 5s. If they nail the essay, they can get something like 65% of the multiple choice questions correct and end up being given a score that will be exchangeable for college credit. It is such a scam! The courses themselves are not close to college level for a typical mid-level college. On top of that, some students are just “self teaching” the specific material they know will be on the test.

In the interest of transparency, the College Board ought to provide each student with the exact score they earned so they can understand where they stand in terms of mastery and make better decisions about whether or not to opt out of the entry level college class. But then, when has the College Board ever endorsed transparency? Never! The entire AP deal is a total scam that has intruded on, and I think harmed, the public school system in the US.

@lostaccount Yeah, collegeboard is pretty much just a big scam, I mean $100+ for each ap test?
