Is it possible to get into IB from NYU LSP?

Will I be able to get an I-bank internship from NYU LSP? I imagine it might be a bit hard, because of the rigid course structure, and they'd probably prefer CAS/Stern people. Right?

Stern is a strong semi-target. The rest of NYU, although consisting of good schools, is pretty much non-target. If you can get into Stern, you should do whatever you need to or can to make it happen - that is, if you are interested in IB.

PM me if you have other questions.

IBanker

To be honest I think if you let them know you are in LSP, they would throw you’re resume away in most cases (unless with great networking and etc) simply because there’s Stern that eats up like 90-95% of the IB jobs, and then CAS that eats up the rest.

However anything is possible with a proper plan, great work ethic and efficiency. You can always get out of LSP eventually, network hard and/or figure out some other plan.

^ Do people have internships in the summer between their junior year and senior year; or in the summer between their sophmore year and junior year?

Because if it’s the former, then by that time I’ll be in CAS.
