Is it possible to get into med school in the US as an international student?

I have been accepted in US universities with a major of Biology as a part of my pre-med. I just want to know if medical schools in the US accept international students. Does anyone know about it? Please help!!!

It’s extremly difficult, and you may have to put up your tuition money (up to a quarter of a million dollars) upfront. If you don’t have such funds, your odds to get into an American medical school are very, very, very small.

Bottom line: if you really want to be a doctor, stay in your own home country, or study in countries more open to foreign medical students.

They typically don’t. Most won’t even look at your application if you’re not a citizen or permanent resident. Short of becoming one of those, your only way is to be top of your class, involved in research, and pay to MD/PHD programs.
Look for AFrenchie36 on Tumblr to have an example of what you’re supposed to accomplish.
BTW biology is not necessary, look into a variety of majors.

@MYOS1634 do you mean that even the med schools F1 can apply won’t look at the applications?

No, if the med school says international applicants who can pay their tuition in full can apply, they’ll look at the application, but those are few and far between.
Basically, become a legal permanent resident or be competitive for a MD/PHD.

Note: my message in #3 shouldn’t read 'pay’but 'apply to… ’
(md/phd programs are funded.)
