I dont have a high school diploma and am not planning on getting one as it is a really long story i dont want to discuss here. and i guess im just curious because im planning on going to junior college anyway, but is it possible to get into a public university with a GED and high SAT?

Yes.

Some public universities admit junior-level transfers without regard to high school graduation / GED or SAT / ACT scores (only college courses and grades count). Check each college’s transfer admission policies.

You can get into a 4-year college with a GED and high SAT score, check on their admissions page.
For community college, you only need the GED, no SAT score, and after 2 years of community college work (and good grades) your transfer will be solely based upon your community college record.

All colleges’ “common data sets” will say whether or not a GED is sufficient. Those are easy to google. GL
