Has anyone heard of such a thing? Any brilliant kids in your class get every question right on an AP practice test?

Just out of curiosity.

Just out of curiosity.

according to some..it is possible to get a perfect score on the exam, I think the college board will mail you a letter in case it happens. :)

my european teacher told us of a girl 5 years ago at my school who missed one on a practice mc test, but i dont know.

Yes, of course it's possible, and considering how many AP tests are taken every year, I wouldn't be surprised if it's been done (especially on some of the easier tests), but I don't think there would be any way of finding out, because scores on specific sections of the exam are never released. You can order your free response packet and compare it to the scoring guideline to see your exact score on that section, but there would still be no way to find your score on the multiple choice section.

Where did you hear this?

actually, im pretty sure that happens. about 5 or 6 years ago, a student at my school scored a perfect on both MC and FR of the AP US Gov exam. Collegeboard sent him a letter. He is like a legend in our gov class.

oh, ur talking about practice tests?

that's easy. there was a kid in my AP physics class this year who scored a 90 out of 90 total on an old Physics C E&M test, all while under the same time constraints.

We had people getting all of 'em right on practice US History tests before.

I think it is definetly possible on the Calculus AB and BC test.

all bow down at my scholarliness.
Taken from another board. So it's possible!

hmm... or he could be ****tin ya... honestly we're told by our ap teachers it probably happens but no one is notified

It is actually possible to check if your MC was one of the released MC exams and you checked your answers.

ive asked quite a few calculus teachers if this has happened and they have all said theyve neither had nor heard of a students getting all the points on the ap test

I know someone who got a perfect score on the BC Calc a few years back, and I think she got some letter or award for it.

Well, I got a plastic ring from the bottom of my lucky-charms cereal box. This is way more impressive than getting a perfect score on an AP exam. I got also got an 800 on SAT math but unfortunately I received no accolade. My hypothesis is the C.B. doesn't give awards to white people. Hence the difficulty in making the nation scholar PSAT cut-off versus the african-american scholarship cut-off.

I also think it is definitely possible and has probably been done on several occassions on the Cal AB and BC exams.

A perfect score on an AP exam would be crazy considering the number of people that get 5's is really low even with a crazy curve thats down to something like 75%. The fact that CB curves it down to 75 just shows how difficult the exam is and if anyone can pull off a perfect score thats crazy, especially if you do it in like a history one where average essay scores are probably a 4.

A kid at my school got a near perfect score on the AP chem exam. He was a thai scholar (basically they select the brightest out of thailand send them to the US for education, then take them back to work for the government). He got every question right on the AP chem exam except he didn't know what "pulverised" meant so he missed that question. I think it was an FR in '98 or near there.

Where did you hear this?

according to the "rumors" of my school, one student got perfect score on the AP cal exam 7 years ago......I suppose it is possible...

It is definitely possible because I read some article about a Hispanic girl in like California getinng a perfect score on her AP Studio Art exam...yeah it's not an exam with MC and FR, but a perfect is a perfect
