Is it possible to get Regents invitation if you were asked to do the questionnaire?

Title says it all. Anyone know?

I would say no. Questionnaire usually means borderline, Regents usually means "top of the pile"

I've been wondering this as well, but I think the answer is yes. My friend who is at Cal was asked to do a questionnaire, but was admitted with regents scholarship. Questionnaire doesn't always mean borderline, I heard Cal also requests questionnaire to applicants who are most likely admitted, but stated unique personal circumstances (ie. socioeconomic hardships) on their app that Cal wants to know more about.

Thanks.

Does anyone else know?

Hi sorry to butt in, but What Questionnaire are you guys talking about?

Berkeley sends out questionnaires to a small group of student every year. Usually, the questionnaire is sent to students who are borderline for admission, but Berkeley also sends them out to students who are borderline for scholarships, or who mentioned learning disabilities/financial hardships in their application.

From what I know, selected applicants receive one of the three questionnaire? Talent, socioeconomic thing, and something else.

Thanks guys. I showed how I had a lot of socioeconomic hardships in my app and I recieved the socioeconomic questionnaire. I always thought I had excellent stats so I am hoping I receive regents invitation. Although since I didn't get it yet, I don't think I will. =(

I guess this response is kind of moot for this year's students since the regents decisions are already out, but for anyone who is just interested, it is possible to get both the questionnaire and the regents scholarship invitation. I did ;)

Yes, you can get both. If someone mentions a disability, for example, it generally gets automatic augmented review (i.e. supplemental questionnaire). Despite that, their stats could be stellar.

my counselor said that getting a questionnaire means your either borderline or are being considered for scholarships. i guess that includes regents lol

The third one was the type I got:
Medical Condition or disability (I got it cause I stated in my Personal Statement that I'm diagnosed with OCD and GAD)

This one is a VERY small group from what I've heard so not many know of this type of questionnaire.

I don't really care if I get a regents scholarship (I'll be happy with one of the alumni ones really)

All I want is admission!
