Is it possible to get your election switch for the 4th grading period?

My yearbook class is an absolute joke. The instructor knows nothing about the software, he's not even the main yearbook sponsor. The main yearbook sponsor, doesnt teach my class because she already has her plate full with english classes and the other yearbook class. She does, however, handle the grades. Before I can finish a spread, I have to have the photographers take the pictures I need for my spread, then I have to have the editors adjust the resolution, dpi, etc and push the pics into my spread. Then after that I can caption my pics (find a lead, get quotes for the pics, etc). All I can really do until the pics are in is some basic layout stuff and write the story. So anyway, since everyone's incompetent it took forever for my pics to get in, I was working up until dealine to get quptes. My best friend had the same situation, but he just made up his quotes completely (one of the head editors jokes openly about how she does this). I didnt want to do that, so the yearbook sponsor laid into me for taking so close to dealine to get my quotes (and she's leaving next year and doesnt care about my class, so she didnt tell us about deadline until 3 days before). Anyway, so my best friend took just as long as me, he made up his freaking quotes, and he got a 97 in that class to my 80. And Im a ****ing straight A student other than Calculus. But umm, my best friend is content to take shortcuts and the yearbook sponsors probably thinks he's hot, so he gets 17 points higher than me.

Worst case scenario is that next aurater i stay in the class and take anal logs about what work I did every single day, and note every single day that goes by that the photographers and editors dont cooperate with me. I'd rather just get my elective switched though, I sure as hell dont need this. And plus, that's 2 extra spreads the idiot sponsor has to assign to her little student clique. Do you think they'll alow my switch?

And do you think that if someone passes me in class rank at the end of the year because they're getting 20 points higher in their elective that it will affect me if I apply for transfer admission in a couple years?

Topic title meant to say "elective"

Probably not, because it is late enough in the year and the "class" is half done. My school does not permit changing after the second week of semester 2.

Here's what I sent to my sponsor, did I handle this ok?

As a future journalism major and a proud student, I'd respectually like to request feedback pertaining to my work in your course.

I was surprised to see the insipid trend in my grade pattern for the yearbook course, culminating in a mark of 80 for 3rd marking period. I was not made aware of any decrease in quality of my work in the course, and was unable to decipher exactly what "Meeting Deadlines and Expectations" (the descriptor posted on edline next to my grade) fully entailed. I fully defend the efforts I made to meet all deadlines and to keep lines of communication with you open. Throughout the marking period, I made a concerted effort to advance progress on my spread every day despite obstacles such as:

1.) Photographers not taking the pictures I needed right away (Which both made it difficult to formulate a lead for my story, and to know who needed to be interviewed for the captions)
2.) Editors being busy having to push pictures into all the spreads and having to deal with backlog. (Which caused me to make layout adjustments up to the deadline and shortened my window for getting interview quotes)

Thank You for your input.

Sincerely,

Matthew Hollingsworth

I didnt spell check it, and now I just sent an email with "respectually" in there :( Does gmail have a feature where you can unsend an email that hasnt been read yet?
