Is it possible to go to a good med school from a cal state?

Have you gotten financial aid offers yet? Did I miss your EFC above? UCs often give better aid than CSUs, between Blue & Gold & Cal grant, you have a good chance of having the tuition covered, though, of course, housing is pricey in most UC areas. If oyu can live at home for CSULB, can you live at home and do UCI? (assuming you get in)

Compared to Cal State LB, UCSD is thousand times better, especially for pre-med. It is a premier research university in the world, and a great place for pre-med as it has a nationally top-ranked med school. So, if you do really well at UCSD as an undergrad, your chances of acceptance at UCSD med school would be pretty good.
