Is it possible to go to CC for one semester then transfer?

<p>Hey guys, I got rejected for UW but it was my clear cut top choice and I really want to attend. I really don't want to go to CC but if I have to I will. </p>

<p>My question is--- is it possible to attend my local community college for the summer and the fall, then go to Madison starting in the Spring? If it matters I think my HS stats are in UW's range (1900 SAT, 3.3 GPA), and I plan on doing very well in the ~ 7 classes I would be potentially taking Summer/Fall.</p>

<p>Does UW take in applicants for Spring semester of Freshman year? Thanks guys and any advice would help!</p>

<p>No - transfers are not accepted at the freshman level.</p>

<p>You must have 24 transferable credits (excluding AP and test credits), note that it is likely that at least some of your CC credits will not transfer to UW. </p>
