I'm just curious about this. Is it possible to get into med school if you get a degree in something other than a science? If I were to go to school a get a degree in arts, could I still go to a medical school? If you could still go, how would you go about studying for the MCATS?

Yes. You can major in anything you want as long as you take the required classes for med school. Sorry, but I'm not sure about your last question reguarding the MCAT.

danfromcanada,
Many, many people major in something other than science. Med schools encourage you to pursue your interests in undergrad. Majors in psychology, philosophy, spanish, communications, english, etc, are accepted to med school at almost the same percentage as science majors. Any major can be designated as pre-med if you take the required pre-med courses (2 semesters of: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, English)... These courses will be adequate prep (in terms of classes taken) for the MCATs. Med schools look for a high GPA overall, as well as a high GPA for science courses/pre-med requirements.
Most universities have MCAT prep courses and advising. And remember that you should have research/clinical experience in college no matter what you major in.
