I've only taken the SAT once and I got a 2170 (690 M, 760 CR, and 720 W). My goal is to get my CR+M score to a 1530+. Will this be possible for the October 5th SAT? Also, does anyone have tips on how to improve math scores by around 80-100 points?

Once you’re around the 2200 range it gets harder, but the good thing is that you have a solid CR score. Math is one of those things that you just have to keep on practicing. Look up answers whenever you get stuck. I’ve heard Dr. Chungs was a pretty good book. Usually, if you’re spending more than 3-5 minutes on a problem, you’re thinking too hard. There’s always some sort of a trick.

I believe that anything is possible! But, not everything is probable.

If you study, then you may be able to pull it off. Try silverturtle’s SAT guide, the Xiggi method, and other user-created guides on the College Confidential website to help get your score up there.
