I'm a senior in high school and it's college application season. Long story short, didn't try enough and now i can see why my decisions from three years ago impact me today. I have a 3.75 GPA weighted and i want to know if its even possible to bring it up to like a 3.8 or even 3.9. How much are you able to raise your GPA in one semester? My classes are AP stats, AP european history, AP calc, Asian Lit honors, a CP science course, band, and economics.

So idk because I (1) have no idea how your school weighs and (2) have no idea if you’re counting fresh year, but here’s a rough estimate assuming you’re counting fresh year.

If your school does semesters (2 semesters a year I think?): You can get it up to about 3.78-3.79 if you get a 4.0 weighted.
If your school does quarters (4/yr): You can get it up to about 3.76-3.77 if you get a 4.0 weighted.

(Obviously you can get a higher weighted score)

So no, not a super big difference, but you should be able to turn your grade to a 3.8. 3.9 might be a stretch, though, unless your school’s obsessed with weighing APs by a lot.

What’s your unweighted GPA? Usually kids who regret not applying themselves more when they were younger in high school are kids who have pretty mediocre GPAs. I don’t think of someone who has a 3.75 and say “Man, he must’ve had a rough 4 years…”
