I'm an incoming junior and my overall GPA for my freshman and sophomore years is an 88%, or a 3.3. Upon doing some research I was a little startled to realize that a 3.3 is NOT GOOD. At least, not for the schools I'm aiming for. Now, I'm planning on busting my arse junior and senior years to get perfect grades. Do you think it's possible for me to raise a 3.3 to a 3.5 or 3.6, maybe even a 3.7? I know it's quite a stretch, but can it be done?

Oh and by the way, I plan on taking 5 SAT subject tests next year and I signed up for 4 AP classes as well, if that matters.

Bump.

I’m not sure but maybe if you take some online classes then that would help you as well.

My parents are extremely stubborn and refuse to pay for online classes. Any other suggestions?

Well if it is literally possible, its just simple math. If each year is weighted equally, we have:

(3.4+4.0)/2=3.7

So yes. A 3.7 is attainable with perfect grades junior and senior year.

It going to take work, but good luck!

Yeah good thing you got them APs. But its not easy, so you just also stick in free classes like gym or something and max it out. It will help you get a better gpa.

@appmaster: It definitely won’t be easy but I’ll try :)

@dirkslam41: I wish I could but my school doesn’t count gym as part of your GPA.

You don’t need 5 SAT II’s.

Bump :)

I would say just get the best grades you can! Ask for help if you need it, and just… go above and beyond. Good luck!
